Dr. Douglas numbs your gums before the laser treatment begins. She then uses the cool laser light to gently reshape the pink tissue. The laser’s precision combine with her skill to give you clean, quick results. The procedure is safe, and there is no danger to teeth. You can expect a bit of soreness in the gums for a few days following the procedure, but over-the-counter pain relievers work well for most.
The tissue is sealed immediately so there are no stitches or uncomfortable healing steps to take. The procedure lasts between 1 and 2 hours, and there’s no downtime involved! Teeth can look elongated, and may even appear brighter after the gum tissue is reduced!
