Is Zoom! Whitening safe?
Zoom! in-office and at-home treatments are considered very safe and carry no risk of serious side effects. The hydrogen peroxide content in the whitening gel is too small an amount to have any negative effects; the most you may experience is some slight irritation or sensitivity around the tooth and gums, which should subside within a day or two. Dr. Douglas can give you more information on the safety of tooth whitening during your complimentary consultation.
Will I have to repeat treatment?
All whitening treatments on the market today are essentially temporary, although the professional treatments usually produce longer lasting results than over-the-counter options. While you may not be able to keep the same whiteness you achieved right after your treatment, your teeth should still be brighter than they were years after the treatment. But some upkeep is required. By using regular touch-up whitening treatments and practicing good dental hygiene, you should be able to maintain a bright smile for quite a while. Also, avoid overuse of staining agents like red wine, cigarettes, coffee, tea, and soda.
How many shades will I be able to whiten?
Each Beautiful Smile, LLC patient will have personalized whitening results based on the current condition and color of their teeth. On average, our patients are able to successfully whiten up to 8 shades with the Zoom! chairside treatment! Is whitening treatment affordable?
